We take a look at an exciting new product for people hiring marquees that promises to take some of the mystery out of the process and provides an elegant purchasing solution for the necessary insurance.
I’m standing in an elegant piece of English parkland looking out across a lake at a rather sizable marquee. Once you take into account the marquee, the flooring and furniture and the lighting its probably worth somewhere in the region of a hundred thousand pounds.
Marquee Insurance has been created to allow people who hire in marquees to independently insure them.
In may cases the value of the marquee you have hired can be tens of thousands of pounds so it makes sense to cover yourself in the event of a total loss or damage to the marquee. Without appropriate cover you could be liable for the full value of the marquee and its associated equipment.
Nick Drew of CoverMarque said There is sometimes confusion in the industry and people hiring marquees have contacted us for advice. We created Marquee Insurance so that members of the public could easily learn about their liabilities and where appropriate insure themselves against the relevant risks.
What is insured with Marquee Insurance
The Marquee Cover (All Risks) section indemnifies the insured against the loss of the marquee and its associated equipment so long as the value of the marquee itself is at least 50% of the sum insured.
